Give Grok Bot a phone line that calls and texts.
Use with Grok Bot, Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client. It calls from your number and brings back the answer, transcript and recording. It can also text you as it goes; text back to tell it what’s next.
Connect to https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp to make phone calls.
Connect
Thirty seconds in any client
Once connected, your agent can start a call, check on it, hang it up early and review past ones. It can also text you updates, pictures included, and read what you text back as its next instructions.
- Open grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom.
- Give it this server URL: https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp
- A Patch MCP page opens asking for your number. Type in the code we text you and press Allow. That is the whole sign-up.
- Back in Grok, ask for a call: “Call Bay Vet Clinic and move Pepper's checkup from Thursday morning to any afternoon next week.”
Grok picks up the calling tools on its own and hands you a live-listen link while a call is in progress.
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Give it this server URL: https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp
- Click Connect. A Patch MCP page opens asking for your number. Type in the code we text you and press Allow. That is the whole sign-up.
- Ask Claude to call someone.
- Turn on Developer mode under Settings → Connectors → Advanced.
- Create a connector with the MCP server URL https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp and OAuth authentication.
- A Patch MCP page opens asking for your number. Type in the code we text you and press Allow. That is the whole sign-up.
Tell Claude Code “Connect to https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp to make phone calls.” and it adds the server itself, or run:
claude mcp add --transport http patch-mcp https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp
Run /mcp to connect your number whenever you like; skip it and the first call your agent attempts opens the connect page for you.
Add to .cursor/mcp.json (or the global one):
{ "mcpServers": { "patch-mcp": { "url": "https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp" } } }
codex mcp add patch-mcp --url https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp
Or in ~/.codex/config.toml: [mcp_servers.patch-mcp] with url = "https://staging.patchmcp.com/mcp".

A paid plan is one monthly allowance of usage that calls and texts share; Pro's is 3× Starter's. Usage is metered the way our carrier bills us: each answered call by the minute, rounded up, plus a little to set it up; each text by SMS segment, each picture message as one message. Unanswered calls are never counted. Your account page shows the percentage left, and it resets every billing period. One call at a time, any hour of any day; beyond that, your plan is the only limit.

FAQ
Questions
What caller ID does the other person see?
Your own mobile number. You prove it is yours once, with a text code, and from then on every call your agent makes carries it, so a missed call or a callback lands on your phone. There is no rented or borrowed number in between.
Do I need to sign up?
No form, no password. When your agent connects, Patch MCP asks which number calls should come from, texts you a code, and asks you to allow the agent. Your agent gives you a private link to your account whenever you need it; from a new device, a text code gets you back in.
Can it call anywhere?
United States and Canadian numbers only, at any time of day and any day of the week; you are responsible for fair use. Emergency lines, premium-rate numbers, short service codes and any number on the do-not-call list are off limits.
What happens if nobody picks up?
Nothing is left behind. A call that rings out comes back as no_answer; one that reaches a mailbox greeting ends at once and comes back as voicemail. Neither spends a free call or any of a plan's usage.
Can it text me?
Yes, and only you: your agent can text your own verified number (a confirmation number, an address, a question, a picture of a menu or a map) and read what you text back, pictures included. Every account starts with 10 free messages; on a paid plan messages and calls share the monthly usage allowance. Text STOP to the number to opt out, START to opt back in.
What about automated menus and being put on hold?
The assistant listens to the options and keys in the right choice itself. Put on hold, it stays on the line without hanging up and picks the conversation back up when a person returns.
Where is my data?
Calls, transcripts and settings are stored in Patch MCP's database; recordings stay with the carrier and are streamed through signed, expiring links. The privacy policy lists every service involved and how long each kind of data is kept.
Who is responsible for what my agent says on a call?
You are. Calls go out from your number, on your instructions, and you are responsible for every call placed through your account, including the objective your agent supplies and any commitments it makes. The terms of use spell this out, along with what the service may not be used for.
